The owner of this single storey cottage in lively inner city Newtown wanted to convert an existing outdoor toilet into an open industrial-style bathroom and laundry. Draftsman Andrew Paterson drew up the plans.

With sustainability in mind, the owner wanted to use a recycled bathtub, recycled flooring and steel rails from an old building site. Simple white brick tiles from floor to ceiling complete the look.

The Challenge

The home was built on an unusual sewer line and PGR Projects had to work closely with the City of Sydney Council to ensure the renovation conformed to the modern building codes and standards.
